Some front yard beds just get to a point where there's no saving them. Overgrown, patchy, full of dead material - they end up dragging down the whole look of the house no matter how nice everything else is. That's exactly what we were working with here.

We started by pulling out all the old shrubs and clearing the beds down to bare ground. Full removal, roots and all. Once the slate was clean, we could actually plan out something that would look sharp and stay that way without constant upkeep.

What we ended up with is a rock landscaping install with crisp, curved edging that follows the natural lines of the front of the home. The mix of light gravel throughout the beds gives it a clean, finished look - and white accent stones along the border add just enough contrast to make the whole thing pop. A few ornamental grasses were kept and spaced out intentionally, so it doesn't feel bare. Just simple and well-done.

The biggest win here is the long-term maintenance picture. No more fighting weeds through overgrown shrubs. No more patchy mulch that needs refreshing every season. Rock beds like this hold up season after season with very little attention required. That's a real quality-of-life improvement for any homeowner.

This kind of work is exactly what we do - shrub removal, bed clearing, and building something better in its place. The goal is always a front yard that looks intentional and put-together without becoming another chore on your weekend list.
