Elevate Lawns is owned by Abdi, a college student studying Industrial Design at Concordia University. What started with a rake, a borrowed shovel, and a neighbor willing to give a young team a chance has grown into a trusted landscaping crew serving homeowners across Minneapolis and the greater Twin Cities.

The team is made up of hardworking college students and local workers who share the same goal: provide honest, detail-oriented work while building real relationships with the community they serve.

Their very first job was a free yard cleanup for a neighbor who needed help, and that experience shaped the values behind the company. From that moment on, Elevate Lawns has focused on doing things differently — putting people first and treating every yard like it’s their own.

Supporting the Local Community

Beyond landscaping, Elevate Lawns has made it a priority to support local businesses and give back to the neighborhoods that have supported them.

The team has helped organize and sponsor small community efforts, including giving away free coffee for residents and supporting local spots like Rise Up Nutrition and Faweelks Alley Coffee. These events were simple ways to bring neighbors together while shining a spotlight on other small businesses in the Twin Cities.

During winter, the team has also been known to help elderly residents shovel snow for free, making sure sidewalks and driveways are safe when the snow piles up.
